Sonja Zweegers (1974) studied Cultural Anthropology at the University of Amsterdam, and graduated in September 2002. Her final thesis was based on research conducted in Vietnam, where she studied cultural conceptions of hygiene, within the context of a UNICEF school hygiene and sanitation project.
Before coming to IREWOC she worked at the International School of Amsterdam and Health Action International, an international NGO working towards improved access to, and rational use of, medicines in developing countries.
Sonja is IREWOC's Publications Coordinator. She also maintains the website and conducts all office manager tasks.
