Sonja Zweegers
(1974)
studied Cultural Anthropology at the University of Amsterdam, and graduated in
September 2002. Her final thesis was
based on research conducted in Vietnam, where she studied cultural conceptions
of hygiene, within the context of a UNICEF school hygiene and sanitation
project.
Before coming to IREWOC she worked at the International School of Amsterdam and
Health Action International, an international NGO working towards improved
access to, and rational use of, medicines in developing countries.
Presently she
provides IREWOC with editing and web services, and assists in the
building of the child labour literature database. She is also working on a proposal
for an Asian and African extension to the IREWOC Worst Forms project.
