An ‘Action Plan for Companies to Combat Child Labour’ was launched on 20 February in New Delhi, India, during the ‘International Conference for Child Rights Organisers and Campaigners’ by the campaign ‘Stop Child Labour – School is the best place to work’. The conference is an initiative of the Global Trade Union Movement. The document combines good practice experiences and insights in the field of combating child labour and rights-based corporate social responsibility. Read the press release here>>> |

Seminar on child labour, education and youth
employment
organised by UCW took place in Paris on
13 and 14 December 2007. Director of IREWOC, Professor Kristoffel
Lieten, was one of the speakers at the seminar. All the papers are

On the 9th of November 2007 the Amsterdam
Foundation for International Research on Working Children (IREWOC),
Asian Studies in Amsterdam (ASiA) and the International Institute for
Asian Studies (IIAS) organised the
DPRN regional expert meeting on South Asia.
