At regular meetings of Warma Tarinakuy, boys are invited to participate and express themselves. An older member explained: “I used to be shy and didn’t speak Spanish so well. Through my participation in Warma I learned to talk, now I am a real talker. I also improved my contact with other people.” The association is also a place where many of the members make friends and feel comfortable; it has a social purpose.
