In 2002 the youth group NUGAT, New Generation of Working Adolescents27, was established. The group represents adolescents between 12 and 18 years old who work at and around the market. NUGAT is organised for and by adolescents. NUGAT’s members usually meet every Saturday for workshops, to organise events or to participate in recreational activities. The girl on the right is NUGAT's president, she is 12 years old.
